About Us


Welcome to Loftus Volunteer Bushfire Brigade.

Loftus, located in The Sutherland Shire in Sydney's south is a suburb bordering the northern entrance to The Royal National Park.

As well as the primary function to suppress bushfires, the brigade regularly attends a wide variety of other incidents. These include responses to automatic fire alarms, motor vehicle incidents and providing assistance to other services. Loftus Volunteer Bushfire Brigade also provides crew intrastate and interstate to support effort at large scale emergencies such as widescale bushfires and other natural disasters.

Loftus currently supports approximately 50 active members that train weekly to support incident operations utilising our two firefighting vehicles and our personnel carrier. (Category 1 firefighting vehicles - Loftus 1 Alpha, Loftus 1 Bravo, Personnel carrier - Loftus PC).
